Noted For: Was made a board member of BHR Partners, a Chinese private equity fund (2013-20), and Burisma Holdings, a Ukranian natural gas producer (2014-19), while his father, Joe Biden, was the U.S. vice president. Left a laptop computer at a repair shop containing e-mails implicating him and his father in a Ukranian corruption racket (2019). Pleaded guilty to misdemeanor tax charges and sentenced to probation (2023). Convicted of three firearm felonies (2024). Prior to sentencing, President Biden pardoned him of all federal crimes he committed from 2014 through 2024.
