Noted For: serial killer; murdered over 30 young women in Washington, Utah, Colorado, Florida, and other states from 1974-75 and 1978. Arrested (1975), then escaped from a courthouse window during a court recess (1977). Was recaptured, then escaped from his jail cell (1977). Convicted on multiple counts (1979, 1980) and sentenced to death. Execucted in Florida by electrocution (1989).
