Full name: Frank Frederick Borman II
Noted For: U.S. astronaut; commanded the Gemini 7 mission (1965), as commander of Apollo 8, was one of the first three humans to leave Earth orbit and travel to the moon. Joined his crewmates Bill Anders and Jim Lovell in a Bible reading from lunar orbit on 24 December 1968.
