Noted For: music producer; artists produced included The Ronettes and The Righteous Brothers. Also produced The Beatles' Let It Be (1970). Known for overlaying rock & roll performances with rich orchestrations, i.e. the "Wall of Sound." Sentenced to 19 years to life in prison in 2009 for the February 2003 murder of actress Lana Clarkson. Husband of pop singer Ronnie Spector (1968-74).
